October 2017 - First Guest Designer

Let's meet our first guest designer this month and look at her interpretation of the Watercolour challenge.

Let's meet Maria for this weeks inspiration:

Hello everyone! I’m very glad to be here as a guest designer! It truly is an honor for me! My name is Maria Loginova. I’m from Russia. I leave in city called Saratov with my husband and small daughter. Since I was a Child I have been fond of various kinds of creativity, I love embroidery and drawing. About two years ago scrapbooking was added to list of my hobbies. And since that time, we are inseparable.

For this challenge I have made an autumn canvas with old picture from our family archive. As this challenge was dedicated  to watercolour I have decided to use this kind of paints to a maximum. 

I have painted a bird, twigs and autumn leaves using watercolours. After that I have circled the contours with black ink pen and then cut it off.  So, in the result I have received some handmade decoration elements for my project.  For background I have used a standard and pearl watercolour paints. I have mixed them directly on a canvas. In some places I have stamped using paints and stencils. I think this canvas became bright, rich and colourful. Thanks to watercolours you could get a completely different project every time you make one. This one turned exactly how i wanted.
