February 2018 - 2nd Guest Designer


Today here with us we have a second Guest Designer this month. Are you ready for a last instalment of inspiration for the Masking Tape themed Challenge? Let's see what project our guest prepared for us today.
Let's meet Ksenia for this weeks inspiration:
​Good day! My name is Vesnina Ksenia! I’m insanely happy to be a guest designer here! I’m from Russia, Ekaterinburg. It is a city between Europe and Asia. And bears do not roam on our streets :) . I’m happily married for almost 5 years. We have two wonderful sons. They are very similar to small helicopters :)  . I started scrapbooking a bit more than a year ago and still it’s my big passion! It’s very interesting to mix colours, to build a multi-layer compositions, It sounds like music, doesn't it?
Today I want to show you my layout. It's a bit unusual. In the photo, me and my son. But you can see only his eyes and my smile. It's just that my husband did not correctly print this photo. It would be a pity to throw it out. I also used film Masking Tape .

January 2018 - 2nd Guest Designer


Are you ready for a last bit of inspiration before the end of the Challenge? Let's see how our 2nd guest designer this month wants to inspire you. There is still time to join the Vellum paper themed  January Challenge.


Let's meet Darianna for this weeks inspiration:

Darianna Neko is here with you today! I'm so glad to be the guest designer in the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo blog! Thank you for such an honor!) I learned about mixedmedia the spring of 2017. This magical world fascinated me and does not want to let go :). I like to make layouts, canvases and art objects. I also create altered projects in this technique. What is special about my projects? I think - contrast, darkened edges, gloom, atmospheric. I like gothic and fantasy theme.
 It's time to show my project I've made for the January 2018 Challenge - Vellum paper! 

I'm happy to show you my new canvas "Beauty in chaos!", that I've made for the January Challenge!
I like the gothic theme, so I've chosen a photo with a gothic girl with the skull of an animal, made by the photographer Svetlana Belyaeva (she takes very interesting atmospheric photos by the way).
This canvas is a monochromatic canvas. To make this canvas I used three colours. Black and white  are the main colours, and brown is an accent colour i used in the quotes. Black and white colours are very stylish, I love them!
As you see to make the composition I cut out so many butterflies! :) I stamped butterflies on the white vellum, plastic and some black card stock. And as you understand, then someone had to cut it all out !!! :))
Also I cut some vellum leaves using my dies and die-cut machine. By the way, you can see a rectangular sheet of plastic under the photo. I applied a texture paste to it as well as on the background. But this time I used white texture paste. And I shaded the edges of the plastic with black gesso.
The word sticker are from my beloved 7 Dots Studio (from Cotton Candy Dreams Collection)! For the finishing touch I splashed black and white inks and shaded the edges of canvas with black gesso.
I hope you enjoye my canvas about beauty and chaos with this atmospheric gothic butterfly-girl!  ;)

January 2018 - 1st Guest Designer


Are you ready to see how our guest designer this month handled our Challenge? It's time to see what project inspired by Vellum paper theme of January Challenge our guest created.

Let's meet Martina for this weeks inspiration:
Hello everyone!
My name is Martina Stoycheva. I was born and raised in Burgas, Bulgaria.  My town is on Black sea coast and it`s beautiful small place to live in. My interest in scrapbooking started in 2015. I was making albums for my little(then baby) girl. I`ve started my interest in mixed media a little more than a year ago. It was an instant love. I was making cards for a few months and then slowly discovered layouts, canvases and off the page objects. Now I`m enjoying myself and create for my current Design Teams. I can truly say that I found my real passion.

This month challenge theme – vellum paper,  inspired me for a soft and at the same time colourful layout. First I created the background. Then found a picture of Michelle Pfeiffer and I thought  it was perfect for the theme. She looks so tender and fragile. I incorporated vellum with all my leaves, doily under my photo, as well as little pieces of music notes vellum paper under my main points. It was truly a blast creating this one. So thank you so much for the invite Skrapki-Wyzwaniowo. I hope I inspired you at least a little to create something that includes vellum and join this month`s challenge. Wishing you all a great, unforgettable year and endless inspiration.
